smtpjump.org started as an email server or service that acts as the receiving server for an email, but in reality, is not the original server receiving the messages. The service was used to hide the actual recipient, who for some reason does not want to be exposed outwardly as the real server owner. Conversely, while it is common to protect the sender’s privacy, we protected the recipient. smtpjump.org was therefore not a ProtonMail replacement but more like a receiving “jump server” for emails.
However, the service has never been marketed in this way and thus has not attracted any users/customers or domain names that need to use this type of server. Instead, it has evolved into a more straightforward email service where the primary purpose is to send and receive emails over ports that are not typically used for handling emails, for example, when ISPs block port 25 for regular customers.
For example, we target SMTP over port 80 and 443.
Currently, we only accept very specific requests. Tornevall Networks does not tolerate spam, illegal, or suspicious activities and adheres to laws and regulations, primarily those of Sweden. Due to time constraints, we only manage systems with static IP addresses and certain authentication. However, you are always welcome to reach out to us.
